Wellington Festival of the Arts 2012: Page Blackie Gallery – an evening with Heather Straka
On Monday 5 March Heather Straka will be speaking about herself and her work at the Page Blackie Gallery on Victoria Street.
Although this event is normally only open to Friends of the Festival, the Festival has decided very generously to extend the invitation this year to the young lawyer community in Wellington.
The evening will cost $30 and a glass of wine will be provided. Heather is a wonderful artist and is an excellent speaker. Her exhibition will also be on show. The evening will finish around 7pm. For more information on Heather’s work, see the Page Blackie Gallery website.

Red Cross Annual Appeal: Weds 7 March
The Red Cross annual appeal is coming up on Weds 7 March. The Red Cross is looking for volunteers to spend one hour collecting money on the street on that day. Last year the YLC made a great contribution and raised over $10,000 for the Cantebury earthquake appeal.
